UTA Suspends All Activities Of Fraternities And Sororities

(Arlington, TX) — All social activities for fraternities and sororities at UT Arlington are suspended until further notice.

School officials handed down the suspension on April 1st, based on problems with the “culture” of the organizations, both locally and nationally. UTA fraternities and sororities are barred from either hosting or attending parties, mixers, or philanthropic events. Chapter business meetings will be permitted but have to be cleared first with campus officials.

A task force will review the “culture” problem and make recommendations afterward.
