(Fort Worth, TX)  —  More information is being released into why William Welstead was fired last month as Fort Worth’s Aviation Director.

According to a termination letter obtained by NBC 5, Welstead was involved in a hit and run accident in a city car back in June.  Welstead did not report the accident to the city and directed staffers to make unauthorized repairs using a city credit card.

The investigation also found that he was hunting on airport property and owned an aviation company which he didn’t disclose as a potential conflict of interest.
