(Weatherford, Tx) – Weatherford ISD says Seguin Elementary students will immediately begin remote learning after administrators say an identified person who had close contact with a large number of students and staff, tested positive for COVID-19, according to a letter sent out to parents and guardians Thursday.

In the letter, Seguin Principal Jessica Duenez says “Out of an abundance of caution and for the health and safety of our students and staff, Seguin Elementary will temporarily close effective [Thursday].  Face-to-face learning will resume on October 22, 2020.  Students will begin learning from home tomorrow, Friday, October 9”.
