(Fort Worth, TX)  —  Tarrant County election officials are dealing with misprinted ballots and a shortage of workers on the ballot board.

In an emergency meeting on Monday morning, Elections Administrator Heider Garcia said they’re short-handed because of social distancing concerns during the pandemic.  Thousands of the county’s mail-in ballots couldn’t be scanned because of misprinted bar codes.  Those ballots are being processed by hand.

Garcia says the county’s ballot count may not be finished by tonight, at the end of Election Day.
