(Frisco, TX)  —  Andy Dalton won’t be returning as the Cowboys quarterback this week against the Steelers after a positive COVID-19 test.

He missed last Sunday’s game with a concussion.  Dalton did not practice last week or fly with the team to Philadelphia, but did attend some team and quarterback meetings.  Dalton has started self-quarantining and the Cowboys have initiated contact tracing.

Rookie Ben DiNucci started in the 23-9 loss Sunday to the Eagles, throwing for 180 yards on 40 attempts and lost two fumbles, one returned for a touchdown.

Other quarterbacks on the Dallas roster are Garrett Gilbert and Cooper Rush.
