(Denton, TX)  —  Texas Motor Speedway will serve as a mega coronavirus vaccination hub starting this week.

Denton County leaders aim to vaccinate ten-thousand people a day at the racetrack until the doses run out.  They’re expecting another 31,000 doses from the state this week.  Denton County Judge Andy Eads says EMTs from local fire departments will help administer the shots, but lots of volunteers are still needed.

No medical experience is required for some volunteer positions, such as directing traffic and acting as a greeter.
