Azle High School Senior Dies In Small Place Crash

(Azle, TX) — The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a plane crash that killed a senior at Azle High School. School district officials say Jack Schwantz was one of two people on board an Aeronca 7AC that crashed near Azle on Saturday morning.

Schwantz died in the crash, but there’s no word yet on the identity or the condition of the other person on the plane. Azle ISD crisis counselors will be available at the high school this week.

The National Transportation Safety Board is assisting with the investigation.
