(Fort Worth, TX) — American Airlines pilots are rejecting an offer of extra pay for flight attendants and pilots to work the holidays.
The Fort Worth-based carrier had offered 50% more money for flying on peak days, plus double pay for overtime. The Allied Pilots Association represents more than 14-thousand American Airlines pilots. A spokesman says the airline hasn’t sorted out the critical issue of scheduling.
The pilots’ rejection means the airline could have problems getting crews during the busiest travel days of the year.
