(Houston, TX) — Houston furniture entrepreneur Jim McIngvale, known locally as “Mattress Mack,” is betting big on the Super Bowl, and he’s doing it in Louisiana.

Mack also bet a wad on the Astros in their three recent appearances in the World Series.  This time, he drove in from Houston to just across the state line, where he took advantage of Louisiana’s recent legalization of mobile sports betting.

Mack placed a 4.5-million-dollar bet on the Bengals to win, from his cell phone.  He says the two-hour drive beats flying to Colorado the way he once had to do.

If Cincinnati wins, Mack will take home a record $7.7 million.
