(Austin, TX) — Information expected to be presented to a Texas Senate hearing today indicates police officers showed up at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde about 19 minutes after the gunman in last month’s deadly shooting.
The officers were armed with rifles and at least one ballistic shield but had received no clear order to go in and take out the shooter.
State and local leaders, as well as Uvalde residents, are wondering why police didn’t take action sooner to stop the shooter who killed 19 children and two teachers.
