The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Junior Grand Champion steer sold for a record setting $550,000 on Saturday at the Stock Show Junior Sale of Champions inside Watt Arena.

White Castle, a European crossbreed, was raised by Caiman Cody, a 13 year old from Tolar.   The steer was purchased by Trico Electric of Azle.   Caiman’s mom Kasey said that the prize money will help grow their family’s farming operation.  Caiman also wants to attend college and study agriculture, but the eighth grader is not sure exactly where he will go.

Also, at the Junior Sale of Champions, 92.1 Hank FM along with our partners JAG Metals, LLC purchased a European Cross steer named Fity Cent from Kennedy Powe of Stephenville.   Kennedy is a member of the Erath County 4-H.
