The Aledo Bearcats found out their new district home for the next two years when UIL realignment was announced on Monday. The Bearcats who also moved up to Class 6A will now be in District 3. That district will also include Granbury, Weatherford and the Arlington 6A schools (Arlington High, Bowie, Sam Houston, Lamar and Martin). This also means Aledo will have three non-conference football games each season instead of two.
This biennial realignment confirms which schools are moving in classification based on enrollment and which district they’ll be playing in for the next two seasons.
