North Texas remembers 9-11

(FORT WORTH, TX.) – Many communities across North Texas will take time today to remember the tragedy of September 11th, 2001.

In Granbury, a remembrance ceremony will take place tonight at the Jim Burks Firefighters Memorial Park.  In Cleburne, a steel beam from the World Trade Center will be on display today in the parking lot at Yellow Jacket stadium.  Firefighters from several volunteer departments in Parker County participated in a 9-11 stair climb in Dallas.

American Airlines also holding a ceremony this morning at the 9/11 Flight Crew Memorial in Grapevine, in remembrance of their 4 pilots and 33 crew members who died when two of the planes hijacked by terrorist were used in the attack on the World Trade Center 17 years ago today.
