(Alvarado, Tx) – Police have arrested a man they say tried to rob a Wells Fargo Bank in Alvarado over the weekend.

The manhunt began around 1:30 Saturday afternoon.  Alvarado Police chased the man through Burleson and then eventually to an area off FM 2280 in Keene, where he drove into a field, bailed out of his vehicle and ran off.  Several area law enforcement agencies joined in the search using dogs, helicopters and drones.

Alvarado Police have not yet released details on where the man was located or details of the bank robbery attempt.
