
(Lake Worth, Tx) – A Lake Worth ISD employee has been arrested, accused of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment from the district.
40-year-old Michael Anderson is facing a felony theft charge after police say he stole dozens of brand new computers over the last year. Police say Anderson began stealing computers from Lake Worth ISD in July of 2019, many were still in their original boxes. When Anderson was arrested at his home, Police found several stolen laptop computers in his possession.
Investigators say Anderson claimed the district told him to dispose of the machines, but sold them to a resale shop in Watauga. He’s being held at the Tarrant County Jail on $30,000 bond.
