(Fort Worth, TX)  —  The Fort Worth ISD school board is expected to decide today or Saturday what to do next in the legal battle over mask mandates.

In Tarrant County on Thursday, a judge extended a restraining order through next week barring the district from enforcing its mask mandate.  The district is involved in two lawsuits concerning masks, including one that also involves other school districts across the state in opposition to Gov. Greg Abbott’s ban on local mask mandates.

Board trustees held a meeting Thursday night to discuss the issue.
