(Weatherford, TX) — A Parker County murder suspect has been captured in Mexico.

Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier says Clayton Strong was arrested on firearm charges south of the border.  Mexican authorities learned of the murder warrant for Strong in Parker County.  The 73-year-old had been eluding police since early August when his wife was found shot to death at their home near Springtown.

Authier says Strong and 72-year-old Shirley Weatherley-Barrington had been involved in domestic violence situations before.

The Sheriff says they are now working on extraditing Strong back to North Texas.
