Victim Identified In Deadly White Settlement Crash

(White Settlement, TX) — Officials are identifying the teen who was killed, and her father who was injured, when a suspected drunk driver crashed into their home in White Settlement on Sunday evening.

Police say 18-year-old Katey Kirkland died at the scene on Jason Court. She was an incoming senior at Saginaw High School. Her father, Kevin Kirkland, is a teacher at Boswell High. He was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police arrested the truck driver, 63-year-old Donald Gruber, for intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.
